Dr. Tran Thanh Hung
Researcher - Lecturer
Dr. Tran Thanh Hung currently works as a Lecturer and Researcher at the Duy Tan Research Institute for Computational Engineering (DTRICE) at Duy Tan University (DTU), Vietnam. He obtained his Master’s and Doctoral degrees in Civil Engineering from the Department of Civil and Environmental Engineering at Tokyo Institute of Technology (now Institute of Science Tokyo), Japan, in 2021 and 2023, respectively, under the supervision of Associate Professor Tinh Quoc Bui, Professor Sohichi Hirose, and Professor Nobuhiro Chijiwa. Tran's research focuses on developing new numerical models based on novel energy limiter theory (this is one of his work) for crack initiation and growth modeling in materials, including brittle, quasi-brittle, ductile, rock-like, rubber-like, anisotropic, and soft biological tissues.
